P.S. Jones is a learning community located in Washington, N.C. that is comprised of approximately 860 students and 80 teachers, food service personnel, custodians, and paraprofessionals supporting the educational needs of students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Our staff is committed to providing our students, parents, and community with a quality middle school program framed in a best practices approach to learning. We welcome, encourage, and appreciate the support given to our school by all stakeholders in our attendance area and beyond. Our Mission
P.S. Jones will prepare all students to be globally competitive citizens in the 21st Century. Students will master academic skills in each content area as required by state and national standards. Our staff will meet these goals through the implementation of research-based practices, appropriate technology tools, and a 21st Century curriculum. We are committed to providing a comprehensive support system to ensure the success of every child in this endeavor.
